FBackup is a free backup tool for personal or commercial use. The program has the ability to back up your data automatically to any USB/Firewire device, local or network location, either in compressed or uncompressed files. When you launch the program, it will ask you if you want to do a backup or restore an already done backup. If you choose to do a backup, you can choose to create a new backup job or run an existing back up job. If you're creating a new backup job, you'll have to choose a name for it, and tell the program where you want it to put the resulting fies (local or network, drive and folder). Then you must tell FBackup which files and folders you want to include in the backup. Then you must choose if you want a full (compressed) or mirror (uncompressed) backup or whether you want to encrypt the files. You can define whether you want the backup job to be triggered manually or at a given time. When performing a restore, a similar wizard will help you to recover the backuped files.
It is a program that automates your routine manual file copying actions.
